How sending a fax online works

Choose a PDF or clear document image, enter one destination fax number and your email, review the exact page-based price, and pay once. Fax status continues even if you close the browser.

What are the steps to fax a document online?

The process has four steps: attach the pages, review the destination and price, authorize and pay, then follow the delivery status.

  1. 1Choose a PDF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG file. On a phone, you can take a clear photo of each paper page.
  2. 2Put pages in the intended reading order and enter the recipient’s verified US or Canadian fax number.
  3. 3Provide an email for the receipt and delivery update, confirm that you are authorized to send the fax, and review the exact total.
  4. 4Pay once. The server queues the fax only after payment is independently confirmed, then updates the private status page and sends email updates.

How long does an online fax take?

Upload and checkout time depends on file size, network conditions, and provider availability. Transmission time also varies with page count, the receiving machine, line conditions, retries, and provider demand.

A queued status means the fax is waiting to dial; it is not proof of delivery. Keep the private status link until the fax reaches delivered or failed status.

Do I need a fax machine or phone line?

No. You need a browser, a document file or camera, a valid destination fax number, an email address, and a supported payment method.

What should I verify before sending?

  • The organization still accepts the document by fax.
  • The fax number came from a current letter, form, portal, or confirmed staff member.
  • Every page is upright, complete, readable, and in the right order.
  • Any required cover sheet, barcode page, signature, or case number is included.
